Almost mowed over

Caleb brought these in while Daddy was mowing the grass.   Daddy apparently stopped and told him to pick me a bouquet before he mowed them down.   I am storing this memory up for a rainy day.

But Before We Begin…

School must wait.

We are spending the week at the Cub Scout Day Camp. As a parent volunteer, I’m already exhausted and it’s only day one. 250 boys ages 7 to 10. We begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. and it is non-stop. Shooting, archery, hiking, pirates, compasses, soccer, fire trucks and water hoses, a HELICOPTER landing — this is boy heaven! And the joy is contagious. Despite the heat and the long hours, I can see why the volunteers come back for several years in a row. Sarah Mae gets to go as a “tag along.” I love getting to see the smiles particular to this age. I am blessed. See my two most beautiful blessings:
